Newgate Support Inglis Easter as Vendor and Buyer

Newgate Farm rose to the challenge of a virtual Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale to achieve some good results for ourselves and our clients as well as securing promising new stock for the future.

We sold 17 yearlings for $3,755,000 and were also active purchasing in partnership with China Horse Club to secure 10 outstanding colts for $3,245,000.

Newgate Farm believe strongly in supporting our Australian bloodstock industry through this difficult time as a vendor and buyer to ensure the future of what we see as the greatest racing country in the world.

Our best sale came on behalf of the Kolivos Family with a gorgeous I Am Invincible filly from Forever Loved that was bought by Windsor Park Stud / Lionrock / Andrew Williams Bloodstock for $450,000.

Capitalist had strong results at Inglis EasterThe first crop yearlings by our Golden Slipper winner Capitalist enjoyed strong results with 14 averaging $215,357 with his aggregate $3,015,000.

Capitalist posted the single highest result of any first season sire at the sale. His star of the show was the half-brother to Hong Kong sprint star Hot King Prawn that made $540,000. Consigned by Torryburn Stud, the colt from De Chorus will have every chance as he was bought by Hawkes Racing.

Blue Diamond winner Extreme Choice also made his mark with four yearlings averaging $231,250.

His top seller was the half-brother to Group I winner Invincibella from Abscond that made $340,000 for Sledmere Stud when secured by Anthony Freedman Racing.

Winning Rupert had only one yearling offered for sale and the colt from Plethora (USA) showed he was well and truly up to Inglis Easter standard after fetching $200,000 when knocked down to China Horse Club / Newgate Bloodstock.
