A world first virtual Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale this week presented plenty of challenge for vendors and buyers with the team at Yarraman Park adapting to the changed circumstances to achieve some good results for ourselves and our clients.

We sold all bar one of the yearlings we offered this year, selling eight youngsters for $2,930,000 with our top seller an I Am Invincible filly from stakes-winner Silently that made $600,000 to the bid of Asian Bloodstock Services.

Not far behind was another I Am Invincible filly from stakes-placed Lorna May that made $520,000 when bought by Andrew Williams Bloodstock.

I Am Invincible posted a higher Easter average than last yearOur champion sire I Am Invincible was the driving force behind the unexpected success of this sale, which unfolded against a climate of financial uncertainty resulting from the pandemic.

Some 27 of his stock sold for $14,215,000 which made him the most successful sire by aggregate and his average of $526,481 was actually up on his Inglis Easter average last year of $493,600.

I Am Invincible accounted for three of the seven individual yearlings that sold for $1million or more.

His best result was a colt from Group II winner Twilight Royale bought by Tom Magnier from the Kia Ora draft for $1.4million followed by the full sister to Group III winner Catch Me that made $1.1 million for Segenhoe Stud and was also bought by Tom Magnier.

I Am Invincible’s third seven figure youngster was the filly from dual Group I winner Srikandi that made $1million for Kitchwin Hills when bought by Andrew Williams Bloodstock.
