Juvenile Trial Watch – Randwick

Tara Madgwick - Thursday April 9

Gooree Stud enjoyed some good results at Inglis Easter online this week selling all bar one of their draft of five including two yearlings closely related to our Juvenile Trial Watch horse from Randwick on Thursday morning.

Five heats for two year-olds were conducted with Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott producing Lonhro colt Noble Privilege for the first time.

A homebred for Gooree Stud, he jumped well and surged forward to travel wide all the way for Nash Rawiller and found the line nicely for an inexperienced horse to win by a length going away.

Noble Privilege is from stakes-winning Danehill (USA) mare Queen of the Hill, a half-sister to Group I winner and champion sire Northern Meteor as well as the dam of another successful sire in Smart Missile.

Gooree Stud sold the current yearling from Queen of the Hill, a filly by So You Think, at Inglis Easter this week for $150,000 to Hollymount Stud/ Newgate Bloodstock.

They also sold another close relation to Noble Privilege getting $725,000 for the Medaglia D’Oro (USA) colt from Smart Missile’s dam Comical Smile (USA), who was purchased by the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
