Race day inspection for Black Heart Bart

Leading Memsie Stakes fancy Black Heart Bart will be inspected by veterinarians on arrival at Caulfield on Saturday.

Trainer Darren Weir advised Racing Victoria stewards on Friday the seven-year-old has had a three-quarter bar plate fitted to his near fore foot on the recommendation of his farrier.

Black Heart Bart has minor bruising to his heel on that foot with the plate aimed at relieving the pressure and Weir told stewards the horse has worked as normal.

Black Heart Bart is currently a best priced $7 with Sportsbet for the $1m Memsie Stakes.
