Cressfield Inglis Easter Fillies First Class

Sponsored Content - by Tara Madgwick - Tuesday March 31

It seems the world is changing before our very eyes, but in the face of current uncertainty one thing has not changed and that is the quality of horseflesh Cressfield is so well reputed for producing year on year.

Horses such as current star two year-olds Personal and Cellsabeel as well as Trope, Headwater, Satin Shoes and Onemorenomore have all been sourced from a Cressfield Easter draft.

2020 sees five select fillies being presented for sale and we are confident these fillies represent the soundness, pedigree and type that buyers have come to expect from an elite sale such as Inglis Easter.

To facilitate familiarisation with these yearlings please note our assessments of the yearlings from Liesl Baumann – Cressfield Operations Manager and Kim Rieck – Cressfield Yearling Manager and call 02 6545 0500 to arrange an on farm inspection.

Lot 30 Filly More Than Ready x Lilliburlero – Half-sister to stakes-placed Regimental Band from Group III winner Lilliburlero, a daughter of Champion 3YO Filly Regimental Gal.

Liesl – A filly with an excellent constitution, big and strong like her dam but phenotypically shaped like her sire. A likeable filly who has blossomed throughout the preparation.

Kim – Robust and mature, a very laid- back filly with good bone, deep girth and good shoulder.

Lot 75 Filly Fastnet Rock x Miss Judgement – Full sister to Group I placed Group III winner Missrock, who sold for $2.3million last year to top the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale. She was subsequently sent to the Northern Hemisphere to embark on a stud career that should see her add international success to this prolific Australian Black Type family.

Liesl – Scope! Broad hindquarter enhanced by a great hip length, a lovely sloping shoulder. Really pushes off her hinds when she walks. A mirror image of her full sister, G1 placed Missrock.

Kim – An exceptional filly. Well proportioned, strong shoulder and good hip.

Lot 169 Filly Frankel (GB) x Rosental (GB) – First foal of French stakes-winner Rosental, a grand-daughter of Australian Group II winner Mannington, the dam of Group I winner Benicio and a daughter of Golden Slipper winner Bint Marscay.

Liesl – A well- marked, well balanced filly. She has the characteristic Frankel fluidity when she walks. A European pedigree on glance, but a strong quality Australian thread that runs deeper.

Kim – A lovely walking filly with a huge overstep, forward moving and works well. Very even tempered.

Lot 285 Filly I Am Invincible x Wild Rain – First foal of brilliantly fast Group II winner Wild Rain from the family of Australian Horse of the Year Northerly.

Liesl – The first foal out a G2 winning mare she is compact, sharp and sprinty.

Kim – Sprightly, compact filly, feminine head, strong hindquarter. Looks an early type.

Lot 332 Filly  Snitzel x Artistry – First foal of multiple Group III winner by champion sire Shamardal and the pedigree has an update with Flower of War in the second dam now a stakes-winner.

Liesl – A striking filly. A lovely neck set upon a strong shoulder. Good forward moving filly.

Kim – A huge shoulder, lovely head. She walks with purpose, is willing to please and is a pleasure to work with.
