One to Watch – Strathalbyn

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday March 25

Astute Southern Highlands based breeder John Muir of Milburn Creek has had some amazing results from star broodmare Admirelle, both on the track and in the sale ring.

Cinderella as a foal at Milburn CreekThe dam of Group I winner Sizzling and yearlings that have sold for up to $2.2million and $1.6 million, Admirelle produced her fifth winner at Strathalbyn on Wednesday when the Tony and Calvin McEvoy trained I Am Invincible filly Cinderella opened her account.

The two year-old was third on debut in February and was then a luckless fifth in a Listed race at Morphettville before breaking the ice with a two and a half length win as favourite in the 1100 metre juvenile maiden.

Retained to race by John Muir, Cinderella is the seventh living foal for Admirelle, a stakes-placed daughter of General Nediym, who has left five winners.

She has a weanling colt by Russian Revolution and was covered by The Autumn Sun last year.

Cinderella is the 12th two year-old winner this season for Yarraman Park’s champion sire I Am Invincible.
