Racing Industry continues to adjust to keep the show on the road

As the Coronavirus situation unfolds, the Australian racing industry is continuing to make rapid changes to keep racing going for now.

Fortunately, all states are still racing with the tight restrictions on who can be on course.

Victoria has this week cancelled all barrier trials until further notice however localised organised jump outs will continue.

Racing NSW has placed a ban on all interstate jockeys and segregated riders into three groups – north, south and metropolitan.

This means interstate riders will not be able to compete for the remainder of the rich Sydney autumn carnival, and local riders will not be able to compete outside of their chosen area.

The Inglis Easter Yearling Sale is set to go ahead, also under tight restrictions of who can attend with buyers and agents having been inspecting drafts on farm in recent weeks.

The sale has been brought forward two days to commence on Thursday April 5.

All eyes will be on the national cabinet meeting set for tonight.
