Winning Double for Outreach

Tara Madgwick - Sunday March 15

Widden Stud’s blue-blooded young Exceed and Excel stallion Outreach posted a winning double on Sunday with promising wins for Rose Sauvage and Outreach Belle.

Outreach had a winning double on SundayTrained by Tracey Bartley, Rose Sauvage broke through for her first win at Coonamble, scoring by half a length over 1100 metres in the Wellington Boot Prelude after finishing second at her previous outing.

A $90,000 Inglis Classic purchase for her trainer from the Twin Hills draft, Rose Sauvage was bred by Bernie Howlett and is a half-sister to stakes-winner In Good Time being the fourth winner from good producer Turbo Rose.

The Ross Stitt trained filly Outreach Belle won at Grafton, scoring by the best part of a length over 1000 metres.

Placed at her three previous runs, Outreach Belle was well deserving of this win and has now banked over $30,000, a great result given she cost just $1500 as a yearling at the Inglis Scone Yearling Sale.

Outreach Belle is the second winner from Navarino gold, a Lion Heart (USA) daughter of stakes-placed Air of Grace.

Rose Sauvage and Outreach Belle are the third and fourth winners for Outreach, who covered 110 mares last spring at his $7,700 fee.
