Second Winner for Outreach

Widden Stud's young first crop sire Outreach posted his second winner and first on a metropolitan track when two year-old gelding State of Class scored a stylish victory at Morphettville on Saturday.

Outreach is the sire of State of ClassTrained by Paul Rocke at Mornington, State of Class improved on his debut fourth last month to lead all the way and win the 1000 metre scamper by three-quarters of a length.

He is the third winner from Encosta de Lago mare Piece of Class, a daughter of Group II winner Segments, a full sister to another Group II winner in Pure Energy.

A full brother to Golden Slipper winner Overreach, Outreach is by champion sire Exceed and Excel and has been very popular wt Widden covering over 500 mares in his first four seasons.
