Hat-Trick of Wins for Mirra Vision

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday March 4

Passed in shy of her $300,000 reserve at Inglis Easter in 2018, Lonhro filly Mirra Vision notched her third straight win at Randwick on Wednesday with her breeder Peter Campbell of Bennelong Bloodstock sure to be now seeing a sale ring disappointment as a blessing in disguise.

Trained by Peter and Paul Snowden, Mirra Vision won her first two starts last spring at Newcastle and Warwick Farm and resumed from a spell in the Benchmark 70 event over 1250 metres.

She covered ground all the way but hit the line well for Tommy Berry to win by the best part of a length.

Lonhro is the sire of Mirra Vision“She’s a filly I have a lot of time for as I used to ride her mother Mirrasalo,” said Berry.

“I would be surprised if she didn’t end up getting to stakes level.”

Paul Snowden also believes Black type lies ahead for Mirra Vision, who is undefeated with three wins from as many starts and prizemoney just shy of $100,000 .

“She’s a lovely filly that we’ve just taken a long quietly, but I think she’ll get to that Black type level,” said Paul Snowden.

“She’s got the attitude and the ability to do it.”

Mirra Vision was bred by Peter Campbell’s Bennelong Bloodstock and is the best of four winners from Group III winning Redoute’s Choice mare Mirrasalo, a sibling to Group I winners Castelvecchio and Maid of Heaven.

Mirrasalo has a yearling filly by More Than Ready (USA), a weanling colt by Lonhro and is back in foal again to Lonhro
