A homebred for Rob Crosby, prepared by Team Hawkes, five year-old All Too hard mare Dawn Dawn scored her first Black Type win when taking out the Group II ATC Guy Walter Proven Thoroughbreds Stakes (1400m) at Randwick.

She did best in a thrilling finish to score a short half head win taking her overall record to five wins and six placings from 16 starts with earnings in excess of $360,000.

Dawn Dawn is the best of two winners from Dawned, a half-sister by One Cool Cat (USA) to Group winners Beat the Fade and Dawn Til Dusk.

Hard Rock Girl led all the way and has now won two of five starts earning over $100,000 in prizemoney.

A $125,000 Inglis Classic purchase for her trainer from the Bhima Thoroughbreds draft, Hard Rock Girl was bred by Kia Ora and Steve McCann and is the best of three winners from stakes-placed Fastnet Rock mare Rock of Fortune.

A three-quarter sister to stakes-winner Chic Choice from the family of Group I winners Easy Rocking, Fairy King Prawn and Cosmic Endeavour, Rock of Fortune has a yearling filly by Sebring and is in foal to Written Tycoon.
