One to Watch – Wagga

Tara Madgwick - Thursday February 13

We write a lot of stories about expensive Snitzel offspring, but what about this horse, his cheapest yearling to be sold at Inglis Easter 2019 and a debut winner today at Wagga.

Bought for just $60,000 at Inglis Easter, Hot 'n' Hazy did in fact have four legs as you can see in this picture!Trained by Danny Williams, two year-old colt Hot ‘n’ Hazy led all the way to win by nearly two lengths over the hot favourite Sundus from the powerful Lindsay Park team.

The cheapest of 24 yealings by Snitzel sold at Inglis Easter, Hot ‘n’ Hazy was purchased for just $60,000 by his trainer from the Ascot Park draft and is a three-quarter brother-in-blood to Group I placed Scratch Me Lucky.

Bred by Bob Hannon, he is the first winner for Radiant Angel, who comes from the family of Group winners Red Colossus, Nediyms Glow and Kinglike.

Ascot Park sold his half-sister by Winning Rupert at Inglis Classic this week for $70,000 to Snowden Racing.

Hot ‘n’ Hazy is the eighth two year-old winner this season for Snitzel, who is leading the two year-old sires list by earnings.
