One to Watch – Bathurst

Tara Madgwick - Friday January 31

There’s not too many fillies bred like this one going around at Bathurst on a Friday.

Do Not Disturb as a yearlingTrained by Bjorn Baker, three year-old Fastnet rock filly Do Not Disturb cast off maiden status at her second start when surging clear for an easy victory in the 1100 metre maiden.

A $260,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Segenhoe Stud draft for Paul Moroney Bstock/Go Bloodstock Australia, Do Not Disturb runs in the familiar yellow and white colours of Sir Owen Glenn.

Do Not Disturb is the first foal of stakes-placed Hussonet (USA) mare Breakfast in Bed, a half-sister to Group I winner Oohood from the family of recently retired leading sire Not a Single Doubt.

The second foal of Breakfast in Bed is Redoute’s Choice colt King’s Legacy, who made $1.4million at Magic Millions last year when bought by James Harron Bloodstock and won the Group III BRC BJ McLachlan Stakes.

He was fifth behind Away Game in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic and is a colt with plenty of potential to go further.

Segenhoe will offer the third foal from Breakfast in Bed, a Redoute’s Choice filly, as Lot 355 a 2020 Inglis Easter.

Breakfast in Bed had a filly last year by I Am Invincible and was then covered by Pierro.
