$500,000 Showcasing colt Makes the Early Running at Karaka

 Perennial top buyer David Ellis struck early when shelling out $375,000 for Cambridge Stud’s Snitzel colt out of the Champion racemare Katie Lee (Pins) but that was quickly topped when Ciaron Maher Bloodstock / Astute Bloodstock went to $500,000 for Haunui Farm’s magnificent Showcasing (GB) colt out of the Don Eduardo mare Khales as the the 94th National Yearling Sales Series got underway at Karaka.

The Showcasing colt is a full-brother to 6-time winner and Group III placed La Mouline and a half-brother to the multiple stakes-winner Bahana (Elusive City) the Champion Stayer in Singapore in 2016.
