First Win for Expensive I Am Invincible

A $1,050,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Yarraman Park draft for China Horse Club / John O'Shea Racing / Boomer Bloodstock (FBAA), talented three year-old colt Quantico opened his account at Canterbury on Friday night.

$1,050,000 Inglis Easter yearling QuanticoHaving his second race start after finish second at his only previous run last August, the John O’Shea trained Quantico was fit and well fancied for his return and got the job done in style when scoring by half a length.

Quantico had the run of the race for James McDonald, stalking the leaders and the surging to the lead before holding off a challenge from the fast finishing Pierro filly April Rain.

Bred by Yarraman Park and Jason Abrahams, who raced his dam Hoss Amor through his Champion Thoroughbreds, Quantico runs for a big syndicate headed by China Horse Club that also includes Segenhoe Thoroughbreds and his co-breeders among others.

Quantico is the second winner from Hoss Amor, a stakes-winning daughter of General Nediym.
