G1 Magic from Mill Park

Sponsored Content - by Tara Madgwick - Thursday January 2

Mill Park can lay claim to having produced 17 Group I winners and smart buyers will be heading to the Gold Coast to discover their next generation of champions at Magic Millions.

The Watson family run Mill Park is a name synonymous with quality and the list of superior runners raised on their vast paddocks is a virtual who’s who of Australian racing and includes $3.8 million earner and Caulfield Cup hero Fawkner as well as Group I superstars such as Booker, Southern Speed, Happy Trails, Rebel Raider, Serious Speed, Captain Sonador and Go Indy Go…. the list goes on.

The new season has brought fresh success for Mill Park with current star graduates including Dalasan, Dawn Passage, undefeated South African sprint sensation Run Fox Run and Magic Millions 2YO Classic contender Away Game, a $425,000 purchase for Kerri Radcliffe last year.

Trained by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace, Away Game was unlucky on debut when fourth in her home state of Victoria in the Listed MRC Merson Cooper Stakes and atoned with an easy victory at her next appearance.

The Snitzel filly was a hot favourite and raced clear to win the Listed BRC Calaway Gal Stakes by more than two lengths and is flying under the radar somewhat as we head towards the $2million Magic Millions 2YO Classic on Saturday week.

The Mill Park Magic Millions draft features 11 star youngsters including: a half-sister by American Pharoah (USA) to stakes-winner Beluga Blue; I Am Invincible filly from G1 winner In Style; filly by Epsom Derby winner Golden Horn from Aussie bred South African G3 winner Mella Maria; Frosted colt from G2 winner Serenely Discreet; and half-sister by Shooting to Win to G3 winner Gogo Grace from SW Starmon.
