Nicks That Click – One of the Best

Tara Madgwick - Thursday January 2

Two of Australia’s biggest farms in Arrowfield and Coolmore have very different stallion rosters, but in the instance of this nick they have created a match made in heaven.

Exciting Pierro three year-old Dragon Leap won the Group II Auckland Guineas on New Year’s Day staking a claim for the Group I New Zealand Derby. Read about him here.

Dragon Leap is the 21st stakes-winner for Coolmore's Golden Slipper winner Pierro and is the eighth bred from a daughter of Arrowfield Stud's much missed legend Redoute’s Choice, the nick running at an impressive 21.6% stakes-winners to runners.

Pierro has 25 entries for the 2020 Magic Millions Yearling Sale and two are bred on this nick.
