Fresh from siring a metropolitan winning double on Wednesday with Masked Crusader and Mrs Beckham, Toronado (IRE) was quick to follow up with another double at Warrnambool.

She led all the way and won by more than a length in a pleasing performance.
“It was a good result and we’ll keep placing her where she has a good chance,” said Lindsey Smith.
“I have a few more Toronado’s at home so hopefully they go as well. He seems to be a very nice sire.”
A $70,000 Inglis Premier purchase for Boomer Bloodstock/ Lindsey Smith from the Yarran Thoroughbreds draft, Elderflower is the third winner from Sixtyfour, a winning Exceed and Exce d daughter of Group II winner Ateates from the family of Group I winner Ruffles.
The current yearling from Sixtyfour is a filly by Rich Enuff that will be offered at Inglis Premier as Lot 730 by Hallmark Thoroughbred Stud.
Winning the next race was three year-old gelding High Delta, who scored by nearly a length over 1400m at his second start for the powerful Ciaron Maher and David Eustace stable.
High Delta was a $105,000 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale purchase from the Supreme Thoroughbreds draft for Darren Weir Racing / John Foote Bloodstock / Carbine Thoroughbreds.
High Delta is the first winner for Northern Aspect, a Northern Meteor mare from the family of Golden Slipper winner and sire Marauding.
A multiple Group I winning miler by High Chaparral, Swettenham Stud’s Toronado has certainly hit a purple patch this week.
