Final Classes of the Year for Thoroughbred Sport Horse Association

Tara Madgwick - Monday December 9

The final Thoroughbred Sport Horse Association classes of the year were held at the Chatham Park Summer Classic in Sydney last weekend at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre with strong fields in all classes which were dominated by outstanding young rider Charly Robinson and her 12 year old mare Pure Obsession.

Charly Robinson and Pure Obsession won three of the four classes! image OzShotzCharly won the overall champion in the Childrens Tour (14 years and under) at the recent NSW State Jumping Championships in Canberra on another horse and was in hot form at this event on her little thoroughbred Pure Obsession.

They won the Group 2 and 3 classes and the Slipper scoring a hat-trick of wins!

Pure Obsession won two minor races in South Australia as Khalah Rose and had her last start in 2014 before turning her hand to showjumping.

She has a little bit of pedigree going back as her great-grandmother Century Miss won the Golden Slipper and the family has also produced current Group I winning sprinter Pierata, who has won over $5.6 million in prizemoney.

Congratulations to all the winners and place-getters below and our wonderful sponsors that provide the money to make it happen.
