Early Nominators Targeting Sprint Bonus

The countdown is on for the highly anticipated New Zealand Bloodstock Insurance 3x Triple Crown Series. The added feature sponsored by NZB Insurance will see an inaugural three $100,000 Series bonuses for the New Zealand racing industry and a number of early nominators are already set to take centre stage.

In association with New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing, the NZB Insurance program will see each series comprise of three prestigious Group races including the Weight-For-Age Triple Crown, Sprint Triple Crown and Fillies and Mares Triple Crown, with a total of $300,000 in bonuses up for grabs.

Following NZB Insurance’s announcement of the $100,000 bonuses earlier this season, 26 runners are keen to make an early start in the program by specifically targeting the Sprint Triple Crown. The horses below have been nominated for both the Group One Sistema Railway (1200m) and the Group One JR &N Telegraph (1200m), two of three legs of the series.

With the support of Auckland Racing Club, Wellington Racing Club, Cambridge Jockey Club and Waikato Racing Club – the Series is certainly appealing to a wide range of trainers and owners.

Tattersall’s Mile For The Inflictor - Under The Louvre’s Second SW
Third at Listed level before winning at Doomben, the Craig Cousins-trained The Inflictor (Under The Louvre) then tackled the Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap, and while not in the same league as winner War Wachine (Harry Angel), the 4yo gelding showed his class on Saturday to win the Listed BRC Tattersall’s Mile (1600m) at Eagle Farm.
