Cup Day Déjà Vu for Written Tycoon Mare

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday November 5

It’s been exactly a year between drinks for well bred Written Tycoon mare Teleplay, who won a Listed race at Flemington on Cup Day last year and returned to win the Group III VRC Jim Beam Stakes (1400m) today.

“She hasn’t won for a year,” said co-trainer Mick Price.

“She deserved that win. She’s worth a lot of money and runs for a really great group of people.”

An $85,000 Inglis Premier purchase from the Baystone Farm draft for Dynamic Syndications/ Dean Watt Bloodstock, Teleplay has won four of 13 starts earning in excess of $300,000 in prizemoney.

Dean Watt leads Teleplay back to scale A half-sister to stakes-placed Astro Flame, she is the best of three winners from Special Episode, a winning three-quarter sister by Redoute’s Choice to Group I winner First Seal from dual Oaks winner Episode.
