Spill the Beans Sudden Passing

Tara Madgwick - Friday November 1

Aquis Farm have announced this morning the death of their promising young sire Spill the Beans, who just posted his first winner last Sunday.

Vale, Spill the Beans“It is with absolute sadness we announce the death of our promising young sire Spill The Beans,” said  Aquis’ Managing Director Shane McGrath.

“It’s always devastating to lose a stallion, but with Spill The Beans we felt we had something very special.

“As one of the first stallions secured to stand at Aquis, he had a special place in the hearts of the entire team, my condolences go out to Mr Fung, his family, and all our team that have worked with him.”

A Group II winning son of champion sire Snitzel from the family of Australian Horse of the Year and Golden Slipper winner Bounding Away, Spill the Beans was the busiest first season sire in Australia in 2016 when he covered 202 mares at Aquis Queensland.

His oldest progeny are two year-olds and include his first winner Tennessee Boy, read about him here.

Having already covered a large portion of his current book of mares as well as his three previous seasons at stud, Spill The Beans’ legacy will continue on through his progeny, and will continue to be supported by Aquis.

Spill the Beans was standing at a fee of $11,000.
