Trained by Mike Moroney, the four year old Zoustar gelding scored a half length win in the 1200 metre Benchmark 70 event as favourite.
A $260,000 Magic Millions purchase for Paul Moroney Bloodstock from the Edinburg Park draft, Chicago Cub has been super consistent for his owners with three wins and three placings from seven starts with earnings approaching $80,000.
Bred and sold by Edinburgh Park, Chicago Cub is a half-brother to stakes-winner Assimilate and is one of three winners from stakes-winning Commands mare Jester’s Girl, who sadly died last month after delivering a colt by Written Tycoon.
