Ready2Race Breeze Ups and Free Brunch at Riverside Tomorrow

Media Release - Thursday October 17

All is in readiness for the Inglis Ready2Race Sale, with final breeze ups and a free champagne brunch at Riverside Stables tomorrow to complete preparations.

From 9.30am tomorrow, 23 horses will breeze up on the Warwick Farm Pro Ride track.

Immediately following the breeze ups will be a complimentary brunch at Riverside from 11am, accompanied by a full catalogue parade of the 2YOs being offered for sale on Tuesday.

Regular inspections will then continue at Riverside tomorrow, Saturday, Sunday and Monday before the sale on Tuesday.

Inglis Managing Director Mark Webster urged all comers to attend tomorrow’s free brunch and parade.

“This is an event for anybody – whether you’re thinking of buying a horse on Tuesday or not – to come out and see how this sale works, see Riverside, see some quality horses and take it all in while enjoying a free champagne brunch,’’ Webster said.

“We welcome all attendees and look forward to another successful Ready2Race brunch.’’

Racing NSW boss Peter V’Landys also urged participants both old and new to attend the Inglis Ready2Race events, which coincide with the running of the $14m The Everest at Randwick this weekend.

“It’s great foresight by Inglis to link their Ready2Race Sale with The Everest during a time in Sydney where the world’s racing attention is focussed,’’ V’Landys said.

“I hope one of the horses sold at the Inglis Ready2Race Sale will be a future Everest competitor.’’

The Inglis Ready2Race catalogue of 191 juveniles features 2YOs by leading stallions such as I Am Invincible, Zoustar, Not A Single Doubt, Written Tycoon, Deep Field, Medaglia d’Oro, More Than Ready, Hinchinbrook, Nicconi, So You Think, Starcraft, Spirit Of Boom, Rubick, Shooting To Win, Better Than Ready, Brazen Beau and Holy Roman Emperor amongst others.

Of the entries, 129 are BOBS eligible and 27 are VOBIS nominated, while a number are entered for the Inglis Race Series – those that are not, are still eligible to pay up – as well as the G1 Golden Slipper and the G1 Blue Diamond.

The Inglis Ready2Race Sale begins at 11am this coming Tuesday, October 22 at Riverside Stables.

All horses will be at Riverside by this evening, with inspections beginning after tomorrow’s catalogue parade.
