The Aidan O'Brien trained filly Fancy Blue won her debut at Naas last month and then scored a head win in the Listed Staffordstown Stud Stakes over a mile prompting speculation of an Oaks campaign next year.
"She's a good filly and was one of the few one of ours that won first
time out. She's a quality filly and Seamus [Heffernan] gave her a lovely ride,"
said - Aidan O'Brien.Bred by Coolmore, Fancy Blue certainly has an Oaks pedigree as she is a half-sister to two stakes-winners in Casterton and Smugglers Cove from Sadler's Wells mare Chenchikova, who is a full sister to Epsom Derby winner and leading sire High Chaparral.
Coolmore have already tasted success with Deep Impact having achieved multiple Group I success with his brilliant son Saxon Warrior (Jpn) who is in Australia covering his first Southern Hemisphere mares this season at a fee of $24,750.
