Inglis August Sale Flourishes

Today's August Thoroughbred Sale was an outstanding success at Oaklands in Melbourne.

Highlights included a strong Godolphin consignment of 32 Lots, with all horses selling.

The result was extremely pleasing for Godolphin, as was the 22 Lots offered as part of the Greendale Trust dispersal, all of which sold.

In total 41 vendors enjoyed a 100% clearance rate.

The day's top price was achieved by Condolences (Lot 33), a Street Cry half-sister to Cox Plate winner and three-time Group 1 victor Maldivian.

The mare, offered by Woodside Park Stud, was bought by Belmont Bloodstock Agency (FBAA) and Tyreel Stud for $150,000.

The sale ended with a strong clearance rate of 90%, an average of $17,738 and gross of $3,192,750.

Aside from our monthly online auctions, Inglis' next sale is the annual Ready2Race Sale, this year being held at Oaklands in Melbourne on Wednesday October 4.
