Global Quest, who always looked to be in cruise control when leading all the
way under James McDonald to win as he pleased in the Aquis colours.
A $340,000 Magic Millions purchase for Aquis from the Highgrove Stud draft, Global Quest is trained by Chris Waller and runs for Aquis in partnership with his breeders Highgrove Stud. Global Quest is the second foal of Group II placed Global Dream a half-sister by Fastnet Rock to Group II winner Noire, who is also trained by Chris Waller.

10 51.40 – Godolphin produced their second trial winner when Exceed and Excel filly In
Flanders, a descendant of Golden Slipper winner Bint Marscay, steamed home from
off the pace to win by half a length.
In Flanders is the first foal of Group III placed Medaglia D’Oro (USA ) mare Matilijia, a daughter of Group II winner Romneya, whose Group III winning dam Mannington is from Bint Marscay.

9 50.88 – Outstanding sire I Am Invincible gave us the winner of this heat, with the
Peter and Paul Snowden trained colt Barbaric finishing off with enthusiasm to
run past the leaders under a hold and win by a length in the China Horse Club colours.
A $900,000 Magic Millions purchase for China Horse Club/Newgate Bstock/WinStar Farm from the Segenhoe Stud draft, Barbaric is a half-brother to Diddles, who was second in the Group III ATC Gimcrack Stakes last year. He is from former top racemare Mimi Lebrock, who won a Magic Millions 2YO Classic and trained on to win multiple Group races.

8 50.53– The Aquis colours featured here on expensive Zoustar filly Fall on a Star,
who zoomed home from off the pace to win running away by a length with ears
pricked for the Kris Lees stable.
A $750,000 Magic Millions purchase for Phoenix T'Breds (II) Ltd/Aquis Farms Pty Ltd from the Gilgai Farm draft, Fall on a Star was also bred by Gilgai and is the first foal of Group III placed Denman mare Igraine, a Darley bred sibling to Group II winner El Cambio, stakes-winner Complicate and stakes-placed Cataclysm, the dam of Group I MRC Blue Diamond winner Earthquake. Fall on a Star was the most expensive filly by Zoustar sold at the Gold Coast this year.

7 50.32 FASTEST COLT – The Peter and Paul Snowden stable produced an eye-catching winner here in
Deep Field colt Nitrous, who was sharp to begin and led all the way to win comfortably
by more than a length over another Vancouver youngster in Postcode.
A $450,000 Magic Millions purchase for James Harron Bloodstock from the Newgate Farm draft, Nitrous is the first foal of Group II placed Stratum mare Flamboyant Lass, a full sister to Group II winner Attention, who was also raced by James Harron Bloodstock. Nitrous was the most expensive yearling by his sire sold at Magic Millions this year.

6 FASTEST FILLY 50.08 – Darby Racing have enjoyed Group I success in recent years with star fillies
She Will Reign and Yankee Rose and look to have a another nice prospect in
flashy chestnut Choisir filly Every Rose, who extended beautifully when asked
to surge home with ears pricked to win by more than a length.
Trained by Mark Newnham, Every Rose was a $160,000 Magic Millions purchase for Darby / De Burgh Equine from the Tyreel Stud draft and has a women's only syndicate of owners that will be dreaming of the MM 2YO Classic in January after this promising trial win. Every Rose is a half-sister to two metropolitan winners being from Couredge, a half-sister by Show a Heart to Group II winner Vintedge and stakes-winner Youths Edge.

5 50.47 – An incident in the gates saw two scratchings with only five youngsters contesting
this heat with the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained colt Belieber
(Zoustar) looking super professional when leading all the way to win by a
couple of lengths.
A homebred for Olly and Amber Tait, Belieber was passed in at the Magic Millions shy of his $200,000 reserve and is the first foal of Sense and Reason, a smart metropolitan winner by Exceed and Excel from the family of former slick two year-old filly Burning Sands, who won a Group III ATC Sweet Embrace Stakes.

4 50.17 – Two cracking fillies fought out the finish here with Golden Slipper winner
Vancouver siring the winner Ticket to Ride, who scored a narrow win over
Stellar Pauline (Not a Single Doubt), a full sister to Group I winner Secret Agenda.
Trained by Richard and Michael Freedman, Ticket to Ride is a homebred for Fairway Thoroughbreds, who also bred and sold her sire Vancouver. Foaled and raised at Segenhoe (pictured above as a foal in 2017) as was earlier heat winner Goddess, Ticket to Ride is from Abbey Road, a talented winning Street Cry (IRE) daughter of Champion 3YO Filly Private Steer.
Standing at Coolmore Australia at a fee of $44,000, Vancouver has his first two year-olds running this season.

3 50.81 – Three colts hit the line together with early leader Mr Colorful (Headwater)
swamped late by Aftermath (Spirit of Boom) and the eventual winner War Memorial
(Fastnet Rock), who was full of himself before the trial but did good work when
it mattered.
A $680,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Edinburgh Park draft for China Horse Club/Newgate Bloodstock, the Peter and Paul Snowden trained War Memorial is a full brother to Greg Hickman's handy three year-old Eleven Eleven. He is from well bred import Smokin Alice (USA), a grand-daughter of US stakes-winner Adarling, who is also the grand-dam of blue hen Mica’s Pride, the dam of Group I stars Criterion and Comin’ Through, who is by War Memorial's sire Fastnet Rock.

2 51.04 - A homebred for Segenhoe Stud, royally bred Fastnet Rock filly Goddess covered ground and kept coming all the way to the
line to score a neck win over Super One Susie (Super One), who closed off well after
travelling on the fence behind the pace.
Trained by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace, who produced Group III ATC Breeders Plate winner Dubious at these trial last year, Goddess is a three-quarter sister to Group I winner Manuel and half-sister to Group III winner Taking Aim and Group III placed Witherspoon.

1 50.59 - First trial went the way of the
Godolphin homebred Beyliks, a powerful Lonhro colt, the first foal from Exceed and
Excel's former brilliant Group III winning juvenile Ottoman. He did everything
right for James McDonald and found the line strongly under a hold to win by a
length and a half over Remorseless (Written Tycoon) and Osamu (Exceed and Excel),
the $1.7 million Inglis Easter purchase.
Beyliks is bred on a highly successful nick with Lonhro and Exceed and Excel
combining in the pedigrees of nine stakes-winners headed by Group I winner Bounding, who
produced that $4.1 million Curlin colt at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale, also Manicure,
a stylish Group III winner last Saturday.
