Japanese Winner for American Pharoah

With his first Southern Hemisphere bred yearlings to be offered at Australasian sales in 2020 it's good to see Coolmore's Triple Crown hero American Pharoah (USA) getting diverse winners on varying surfaces in different locations.

American PharoahAmerican Pharoah posted his 13thwinner this week when Clepat saluted at Hanshin in Japan to become her sire's first winner in the region.

Trained by Yoshito Yahagi, Clepat won over nine furlongs at her third start after being placed second previously.

A $310,000 Keeneland September purchase, Clepat is a half-sister to stakes-placed Count Alexander from Intelyhente, a full sister to Grade II winner Bel Air Beauty.

Of the 13 winners sired by American Pharoah so far, seven of them are stakes horses led by his French Group III winner Maven.

He is currently back at Coolmore Australia at a fee of $66,000.
