A colts and geldings maiden at Scone on Tuesday has been chosen as the starting point for the three year-old half-brother to one of the most charismatic sprinters of recent times in renowned bad boy Chautauqua, so all eyes will be on this youngster just to be sure he gets out of the gates.

ChautauquaTrained by Peter and Paul Snowden, Rouchel has shown good ability in his only two barrier trials and the son of More Than Ready (USA) will be ridden by Adrian Layt.

Retained to race, Rouchel is the tenth foal from Group I winner Lovely Jubly who has had nine foals to race and seven of them winners headed by $8.8 million earner Chautauqua and Group III winner London Lolly.

Aged 20, Lovely Jubly has a yearling by Air Force Blue (USA) and is in foal to Spirit of Boom.
