Impressive Winner for Wandjina

Third in a Listed race at Caulfield on debut at two, Wandjina colt Express Pass resumed from a spell at Bendigo on Friday and won like the good thing he was.

Express Pass as a yearlingA short priced favourite, the Nick Ryan trained colt powered to the line from midfield to win the 1100 metre maiden by two lengths for Michael Dee in a dominant display.

"He's still very green and very new, so he's only going to get better and better," said Michael Dee.

Entered for the Group I MRC Caulfield Guineas, Express Pass was a modest $38,000 Inglis VOBIS Gold purchase for JJ Consultants / Nick Ryan Racing from the Blue Gum Farm draft.

He is the second winner from well related More Than Ready (USA) mare Pass the Parcel, who comes from the family of Group I winners Kementari and Sterling City.

Express Pass is the tenth first crop winner for Snizel's Group I winning son Wandjina, who stands at Newgate Farm at a fee of $22,000 this spring.
