Swettenham Stud Stallion Parade in Pictures

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday August 20
Adam Sangster and his team at Swettenham Stud presented a top class selection of stallions for Victorian breeders last weekend at their annual open day including exciting new addition Sioux Nation (USA), the very first son of Coolmore's influential sire Scat Daddy to shuttle to Victoria.

Standing at a fee of $17,600, Sioux Nation was a Group I winning two year-old and is free of Danehill blood with his first two dams by well known speed sires Oasis Dream and Bluebird.

Also shuttling from Coolmore to Swettenham is champion racehorse Highland Reel (IRE), the highest ever stake earning son of Galileo. He has his first Australian foals being born this spring.

New to Swettenham this spring after starting his career for Goldin Farms in South Australia is progressive young sire Akeed Mofeed (IRE), a son of champion sire Dubawi.

High Chaparral's outstanding sire Toronado (IRE) is also back again and ready for further success as his first crop embark on their classic season as three year-olds.

Dashing grey Puissance de Lune (IRE) is one of a very small number of sons of champion sire Shamardal available to Australian breeders this spring.

Rounding out the roster is Group I winner Trust in a Gust, a grand-son of champion Japanese sire Sunday Silence.
