Aquis’ Queensland Stallion Parade

Media Release - Thursday August 15
With approximately 600 local and interstate breeders, trainers and valued clients enjoying the splendid Queensland sunshine on Sunday, Aquis' seven Canungra-based stallions; Domesday, Husson, Kiss And Make Up, Kobayashi, The Mission, Spill The Beans, and our new stunning looking chestnut stallion Performer were joined by our two new Hunter Valley-based stallions Brave Smash and Santos.

While the crowd was slightly divided on which was their favourite stallion, the general vibe from our guests was that Director of Stallions Mark Wooldridge and his team had done an amazing job readying the stallions for the parade.

Chairman Mr Tony Fung and Managing Director Mr Justin Fung were delighted to be present for the parade, with both commenting on what a great day it was for all.

"It was great to have so many clients, not only locally based, but those from interstate attend Sunday's parade at Canungra," enthused Aquis CEO Shane McGrath.

"With all the stallions looking in magnificent order, it was of no surprise to have such extremely positive feedback from everyone on the quality of the stallions paraded. It was also great to have Champion trainer Chris Waller here to chat about Performer."

"Set to embark on our busiest season yet, across the three farms, in three different states, I am delighted that everyone was able to enjoy themselves at the parade before the covering season starts in a few weeks."

Next stop for the Aquis team is Victoria on Sunday, where Zoustar's multiple Gr.2-winning son Lean Mean Machine and the impressive looking $1.2 million yearling Siege Of Quebec will usher in the next chapter for the organisation with our first stallion parade in Victoria.

The Aquis community came together to raise over $22,000 with four auction items selling including a nomination to Spill The Beans which sold to Highgrove Stud's Ron Gilbert, as well as a private dinner on Mr Fung's yacht selling to Yarramalong Park's Mr Richard Foster, a major shareholder in Better Than Ready, with all proceeds going to Liam, the son of Simon Hancock, who unexpected passed away recently. Simon was a valued team member and friend to all those at Aquis.
