Based in the heart of Victoria, Glen Eden Stud is a high quality thoroughbred stud located one hour north of Melbourne and will be open for stallion inspections on Sunday August 18 and August 24 with Rebel Dane, Giant's Steps (Arg) and new addition Mint Lane (USA) all on show.

Family owned and operated by Sonia O'Gorman, Glen Eden offers outstanding opportunity for owner breeders and is home to two quality Group I winning stallions in Rebel Dane and Giant's Steps with proven winner producer Mint Lane joining the team following a relocation from South Australia.

The trio offer budget conscious breeders access to some of the best bloodlines in the world at an affordable fee, Rebel Dane standing at $6,600, Giant's Steps at $5,500 and Mint Lane at $3,300.

Representing the all-conquering Danehill sireline, Rebel Dane is a dual Group I winning sprinter in Australia and you can read more about him here. A tough and talented competitor, he had an incredible racing career, winning the Group I MRC Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m) at four and then the Group I MVRC Manikato Stakes (1200m) at age seven after starting his career in a blaze of glory as a three year-old.

Giant's Steps is an imported dual Group I winner that was the Champion Turf 3YO in Chile in 2013. He is by outstanding sire Giant's Causeway, whose descendants have had particular impact in Australia in recent years through his grand-son Lope de Vega (Fr), who shuttled here for four seasons and has left Group I sprinters Santa Ana Lane and Vega Magic as well as current Group winners Spanish Reef, Spanish Whisper and Archedemus. You can read more about Giant's Steps here.

Mint Lane is a well proven sire by Maria's Mon that has left no fewer than 55 winners in Australia of over $3.9 million in prizemoney. He has a 60% winners to runners strike rate and his winners include two stakes-winners in Willi Willi and Platinum Life making him a great choice for breeders seeking proven value in an outcross sire.
