First Foal for Supido

Tara Madgwick - Thursday August 8
A brilliantly fast son of Widden Stud's much missed favourite sire Sebring, Supido has his first foals arriving this spring with this stunning colt delighting the team at Widden Stud.

Bred by Widden, he is the third foal of metropolitan winning Northern Meteor mare Who's Gorgeous, a half-sister to stakes-placed Devil's Arcade from the family of stakes-winners such as Chalee, Never Can Tell, Swiss Echo and Felines.

"He's a strong, well-marked, good size colt. Correct and alert, a quality foal," said Widden Stud Manager David Merrick.

A Group III winning sprinter that was Group I placed, Supido had speed to burn. He was especially explosive on the wide expanses of Flemington, running the fastest times over the straight 1000 metres and 1200 metres in 2015/2016.

Supido covered 116 mares last spring and stands at Widden at a fee of $9,900.
