Rewarding Season for Blue Diamond Winner

Media Release - Thursday August 1
The 2018/19 Racing Season is over and marks the first time that Victorian sire Reward For Effort joined the club of siring over 100 individual winners in a season.

Reward for EffortThe ever reliable stallion finishes the season with 113 individual winners and 176 wins which means Reward had a winner nearly every second day this season. He finished in style with 8 winners in the last 6 days of the season. His 113 individual winners (from 5 crops) places him in the top 10 of Australia and second in Victoria behind only Written Tycoon.

There have been 68 different breeders who bred a Reward For Effort winner in 2018/19. This is such a testament to the relentless support breeders, particularly Victorians have shown Reward For Effort since the Blue Diamond Winner retired to Chatswood in 2011.

Congratulations to Eamon McNulty who bred the most Reward Winners this season - equal with Chatswood Stud on 8.
Sharyn Trolove and Andy Perdon bred Not Enough Effort - Rewards highest earner for the season.

Reward For Effort also finishes the season as Victoria's best sire of 2YO Winners.

Reward still has better crops to come including his new season 2YO's who Simon Vivian described as "The best crop Reward For Effort has produced".

With that in mind for the breeding season, breeders are again throwing their support behind Reward For Effort in 2019, his fee set at $16,500.
