Chris Waller Racing Sponsor Thoroughbred Sport Horse Association Classes

Media Release - Wednesday July 31
Thoroughbred Sport Horse Association is really excited to have secured sponsorship from Chris Waller Racing for the Glen Innes Spring Showjump Thoroughbred Series (October 5 - 7).

Chris Waller with Winx and Hugh Bowman - image Steve HartChris is no stranger to small towns and started with not much else other than work ethic, enthusiasm (and a fair bit of talent)! Chris Waller grew up in New Zealand's North Island about an hour or so north of Wellington in Foxton, a small horseracing town of about 3,000 people. Waller hit Sydney from New Zealand in the year 2000 with two maxed-out credit cards, no cash, his childhood sweetheart and a few empty horse boxes at Rosehill.

"It shows you can do it; it doesn't matter what your bank balance is or where you've come from or what your experience is, anybody can do anything in life," - Chris Waller

Glen Innes Spring Showjumping will be held at the iconic heritage listed Glen Innes Showground on the long weekend Saturday 5th to Monday 7th October. The TSHA Thoroughbred Series starts with the Slipper 90cm, Group 3 1.00m, Group 2 1.10m and the Group 1 at 1.20m. Unlike their previous racing career, this new showjumping one is measured in meters upwards!

Chris's people are passionate about horses – that's what makes them excel at their job, and it is an integral part of the success of the training stables. The passion they have for their horses doesn't end with their career – which is why Chris Waller Racing is supporting the Thoroughbred Sport Horse Association to help secure the horse's future beyond racing.

TSHA are looking for sponsorship on thoroughbred classes going forward at the events listed below, so interested studs and race clubs can contact Krissy Harris,krissyharris@outlook.comor ph: 0459 168 782 to support this highly worthwhile venture.
