14th Winner for Rubick

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday July 2
The Bjorn Baker trained Rubick filly Turnstyle was an unlucky second on debut last month, but quickly made amends with a brilliant win at Gosford on Tuesday.

Turnstyle as a yearlingGreen and slowly away at her first run, Turnstyle obviously learned something that day as she was quick to jump and surged straight to the lead for Rachael Murray. She was strong to the line to win the 1100 metre juvenile maiden by three-quarters of a length beating two blue blooded filly in L'Cosmo (Lonhro x Cosmic Endeavour ) and Special Date (Snitzel x Racing Nadine (USA).

She is the sixth winner and last foal from good producer Jadana, a daughter of Group II winner Star Country.

Turnstyle is the 14th winner for Rubick, who is the sire of Group II winner Yes Yes Yes and stakes horses Krameric, Biscara, Alburq as well as six metropolitan winners including Rubisaki, who is entered for the Listed VRC Taj Rossi Final at Flemington on Saturday.

RubickThe heir apparent to champion sire Encosta de Lago from the family of another champion sire in Redoute's Choice, Rubick stands at Coolmore at a fee of $38,500.
