No Nay Never SW for Godolphin

Tara Madgwick - Monday July 1
Headed back to Coolmore Australia this spring, exciting young sire No Nay Never (USA) added a 12th stakes-winner to his tally overnight when the Godolphin owned colt Art Du Val took out the Listed Prix Saint Patrick Stakes at Saint Cloud in France.

No Nay NeverTrained by Charlie Appleby and ridden by James Doyle, three year-old Art Du Val had two wins and a Black type second at Deauville from his previous three starts and proved too strong in the one mile contest, winning by three-quarters of a length.

A 120,000 guinea purchase for Godolphin from the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, Art Du Val is the best of four winners from Aquarelle Rare, a winning Rainbow Quest mare from Danehill's champion daughter Aquarelliste.

The first son of Scat Daddy to go to stud, No Nay Never was the champion first crop sire in Europe last year and returns to Coolmore Australia at a fee of $44,000.
