South African Stakes Success for Pierro

Already a two time stakes-winner, four year-old Pierro entire Roy Had Enough scored a career best win on the weekend taking out the Group III Track and Ball Derby at Scottsville in South Africa.

Roy Had Enough as a yearlingA $95,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Element Hill draft for World Wide Bloodstock, Roy Had Enough relished the 2400 metre staying trip to win by more than a length.

Prepared by Frank Robinson for well known owner Roy Moodley, Roy Had Enough is a super consistent horse and now has the overall record of six wins and seven placings from 24 starts.

Bred by Hutchins Thoroughbreds, Roy Had Enough is the first winner for Queens Plaza, an unraced Elusive Quality (USA) daughter of dual Group I winner and Australian Oaks queen Danendri.

Queens Plaza is now with Spendthrift Farm, for whom she has a yearling colt by Hampton Court that made $15,000 at Inglis Premier, a weanling filly by another of their young sires in Swear and is in foal to their young More Than Ready (USA) stallion Gold Standard.

Roy Had Enough is one of 17 stakes-winners for Pierro, who has sired over 100 winners in Australia this season and stands at Coolmore at a fee of $88,000 this spring.
