Strong supplementary catalogue finalised as Great Southern inspections begin

A strong supplementary catalogue of 74 lots – highlighted by an impeccably-bred mare in foal to one of the world's most in-demand stallions and a number of quality weanlings from Aquis Farm - has been confirmed for the 2019 Inglis Great Southern Sale, taking the overall catalogue to 945.

Queen Of The World (Sea The Stars x Palitana), in foal to leading European sire Siyouni, will be offered by Cornerstone Stud in one of the standout lots of the sale.

The mare is one of many highlights of the supplementary catalogue, which also includes:

* Weanlings by the likes of Not A Single Doubt, Sebring, Medaglia d'Oro, So You Think, Extreme Choice and Shalaa

* Highlight weanlings include a three-quarter brother to G1-winning sprinter Clearly Innocent by Not A Single Doubt, a Choisir half sister to Stakes-winning 2YO Steal My Kisses and a Shalaa half brother to Stakes-winning 3YO Final Award, all as part of the Aquis Farm draft

* Quality broodmares in foal to leading stallions such as Zoustar, Merchant Navy, Sebring, Deep Field, American Pharoah and No Nay Never

* Highlight mares include She Goes To Rio (Stakes winner in foal to Zoustar), Shigeru Sendan (Stakes-winning 2YO in foal to Merchant Navy), Light Up The Sky (Stakes placed 2YO in foal to Merchant Navy) and Guelder (full sister to G1 winner Shamexpress in foal to Zoustar).

The supplementary entries come on top of an already large and strong catalogue featuring 530 weanlings, 285 broodmares, 54 racing stock, one stallion and one stallion share.

Weanlings by 137 individual stallions, including 33 First Season Sires, are catalogued.

Leading sires such as Snitzel, Not A Single Doubt, Zoustar, Pierro, Brazen Beau, Dundeel, Exceed And Excel, Written Tycoon, So You Think, Sebring, Hinchinbrook, Lonhro, Rubick, Choisir and Savabeel are represented, as well as first season stallions such as Capitalist, Extreme Choice, American Pharoah, Frosted, Astern, Shalaa, Flying Artie, Divine Prophet, Star Turn, Mikki Isle, Winning Rupert, Xtravagant, Cable Bay, Palentino, Territories, Turn Me Loose, Mshawish, Tivaci, Alpine Eagle, Holler and Preferment.

There are also mares in foal to the likes of Zoustar, Written Tycoon, Exceed And Excel, Dundeel, Merchant Navy, American Pharoah, Brazen Beau, Caravaggio, Rubick and Invader plus racing stock from Lindsay Park, Ultra Thoroughbreds and Contract Racing, among others.

On-site inspections at Oaklands have begun for the sale, which starts at 10am this coming Sunday and runs for the four days of June 16-20.
