Shadwell Farm Inglis Great Southern Weanlings on Show From Thursday

Leading weanling vendors Shadwell Farm present 10 well prepared youngsters for sale at this year's Inglis Great Southern Weanling Sale.

Shadwell Farm's Phil, Susan and Rick Wells have been showcasing weanlings solely at the Inglis Great Southern Sale for well over a decade, ever since deciding to focus solely on the business of producing quality weanlings.

In a planned move this year, Shadwell has concentrated on presenting a smaller draft that is high on Quality.

The draft is comprised of seven fillies and three colts with highlights below:

Lot 47 is a filly by successful 1st Crop Sire Rubick. From a Snippets mare, she is a ½ sister to four winners, three of which are Metro performers. So You Wish is a Brisbane Winner this season and Citrus Wish is Melbourne Placed this Season.



Lot 59 is a Filly by the Leading ill-fated Sire Hinchinbrook. She is the 2ndfoal of the four time City Winner Buon Auspicio who is a ½ sister to SW La Chasseuse.



Lot 96 is a daughter of emerging Sire, Shamus Award. He is the Sire of Saturday's Qld Derby winner Mr Quickie and was very popular at the Vobis Gold Sale. This Filly is a Sister to City performed Gennikay and ½ sister to another 2 winners.

Other fillies are by proven Sires Nicconi and Foxwedge and newcomers Mshawish and Outreach.

Flying Artie colt from LazuliThe three colts are highlighted by Lot 236 who is by Champion Sprinter Flying Artie. His Dam is a sister to SW That's Not It and SP Impinge the Dam of SP Jalan Jalan.

The other two colts are by Toronado, sire of outstanding two year-old Prince of Sussex, winner of the $1million Showdown, and the ever reliable Star Witness.

Shadwell also presents two Supplementary Broodmare entries in foal to highly commercial young stallions.

Misso is a ½ Sister to Gr1 performed Mister Milton, she carries her 1stFoal by Champion Sprinter Flying Artie.

Pinot Madam is from a sister to Ethereal and is in foal to Outstanding 1st Crop Sire Deep Field.

The Shadwell Farm Weanling Draft can be viewed in Barn B from Thursday 13th June.
