SILENT JACK did enough at Port Macquarie on debut. He will be better for that experience and the step up to the 1500m suits. MY LITTLE SOILDER is rarely far away and is not without claims. ARTELLA next best.

Race 2 summary - QUITE UNEXPECTED gets his chance to break through here. He is 51 days between runs after placing in his past five starts. Won a trial by a big space recently. BRIDIE'S BROOK hit the line strongly when resuming. Strips fitter and the extra distance suits. OUR DELEMMA is closing in on a win after placing in both runs this preparation. FANNY CHENAL was placed at Taree last start. A repeat put her in the mix here.
Race 2 tips - 1st: QUITE UNEXPECTED (1), 2nd: BRIDIE'S BROOK (5), 3rd: OUR DILEMMA (8), 4th: FANNY CHENAL (7).

Race 3 summary - DER MEISTER just missed when hit the front a long way out at Tamworth last start. He was 1600-2100m that day so is open to improvement. MARMAN has been competing in much stronger company of late. He is unbeaten here and will appreciate the drop back to this grade. TIPS AND BEERS next best ahead of MORE THAN AHOLIDAY.
Race 3 tips - 1st: DER MEISTER (2), 2nd: MARMAN (1), 3rd: TIPS AND BEERS (3), 4th: MORE THAN AHOLIDAY (5).

Race 4 summary - This looks a nice race for GRUNDALINA. She was runner up last start when second up. Peaks for this and out to the 1280m suits. GENERAL HARMONY finished close up at Scone over 1100m last start. He will appreciate the step up in distance here. FISCAL POLICY resumes. He is more effective over further but can sprint well fresh in this. BOMBITO can bounce back after disappointing last start.
Race 4 tips - 1st: GRUNDALINA (1), 2nd: GENERAL HARMONY (3), 3rd: FISCAL POLICY (2), 4th: BOMBITO (4).

Race 5 summary - Good race. FLOKI was very impressive winning on debut. He looked like he had a few gears left, the one to beat. FINAL FRONTIER led all the way at Taree last start. More depth here but has scope for further improvement. OAKFIELD TIME resumes. She was placed in her only starts last time in. Right in this from the good draw. They look the three.
Race 5 tips - 1st: FLOKI (1), 2nd: FINAL FRONTIER (4), 3rd: OAKFIELD TIME (3), 4th: LEASE OF LIFE (6).

Race 6 summary - NICK ON THE RUN is racing well in stronger company. He loves this track and drops back in distance after placing at Newcastle over 1300m last start. Hard to hold out. PRINCESS FREYA failed over 1400m last start. She was placed prior and will appreciate the drop back in grade and distance. Big watch on HEIDSIECK resuming from a long spell for a new trainer. He showed promise in his initial campaign. MISS GIGI won this track/dist last start, rounds out the chances.
Race 6 tips - 1st: NICK ON THE RUN (4), 2nd: PRINCESS FREYA (3), 3rd: HEIDSIECK (2), 4th: MISS GIGI (8).

Race 7 summary - PERCUSSION was runner up this track/dist last start after covering ground. Maps perfectly here and can turn the tables on HIGH CALL. HIGH CALL beat home PERCUSSION here last start. Goes up 2kg on that win but gets all the favours from the rails draw. ANTICIPATE was going nicely before clipping heels and falling last start. He has shown ability in his short career and the blinkers go on. BOLD STREET CAT got too far back at Scone last start. He won at Dubbo prior and gets a senior jock back on today.
Race 7 tips - 1st: PERCUSSION (4), 2nd: HIGH CALL (5), 3rd: ANTICIPATE (2), 4th: BOLD STREET CAT (6).
