Inglis Race Series - Scone Cup Carnival

Inglis' $8m race series heads to the Hunter Valley this weekend with the running of the Scone Race Club carnival.

Friday's race card features the annual Inglis 2YO Scone Challenge, a $100,000 race restricted to graduates of the previous year's HTBA Inglis Scone Yearling Sale. A field of 15 juveniles will compete for the prize, headlined by the undefeated Brett Cavanough-trained Longbottom. The undefeated daughter of Sidestep was purchased at the sale by Kitchwin Hills for $5,500.

Saturday's program holds the Inglis 3YO Guineas, the final race in the series for 2017 Inglis Sales Graduates. Stakes winners Military Zone and Wild Planet headline the $300,000 race. 


The race also features graduates of the Classic Yearling Sale, Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale, Australian Easter Yearling Sale and the HTBA Scone Yearling Sale.


The 2019 edition of the HTBA Inglis Scone Yearling Sale will be held on Sunday, May 12 at White Park, Scone
