Another Widden Bred and Sold Stakes-Winner

Tara Madgwick - Saturday May 4
The Listed SAJC Queen Adelaide Stakes at Morphettville on Saturday was won in good style by promising Stratum filly Absolute Flirt, a $100,000 Magic Millions Book Two purchase from the Widden draft for O'Brien Thoroughbreds.

Absolute Flirt as a yearlingSecond to subsequent Group II winning colt Yes Yes Yes at Flemington last December, the Danny O'Brien trained Absolute Flirt resumed from a spell to win easily at Sandown last month and was sent out favourite for her first tray at Black Type company.

She settled just behind the leaders for Damien Oliver and scored a half length win in the 1050 metre sprint and has now won two of four starts earning over $125,000 in prizemoney.

Bred by Widden Stud in partnership, Absolute Flirt combines the blood of two Widden champion sires as she is from Bisutti, a daughter of Northern Meteor.

Absolute Flirt is the first winner for Bisutti, a winning half-sister to stakes-winner Pressing from the family of Group I winner Choice Bro.

Bisutti has a weanling colt by Stratum's Group I winning son Stratum Star and is in foal to another young Widden sire in Supido.

Absolute Flirt is the 41st stakes-winner for the late Golden Slipper winner Stratum.
