Encryption Joins Eureka Roster as 2019 Fees Set

Media Release - Friday May 3
Joining the roster in 2019 and in partnership with Godolphin is the regally bred Group 2 winner Encryption who will go to stud at the end of this racing campaign.

EncryptionBy Champion sire Lonhro, he is the first foal out of the four-time Gr1 winner and Champion 3yo Filly Guelph (Exceed And Excel). With the family also having produced the Golden Slipper winners Canny Lad and Sepoy.

On the track he is a winner of the Group 3 Black Opal 1200m as a 2yo and winner of the Group 2 VRC Danehill Stakes 1200m as a 3yo. He also finished second in the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate beaten under a length by Booker in February this year.

Much like Spirit of Boom's own early race record, Encryption raced as an early pre-Christmas 2yo, with placings in the Listed MRC Debutant Stakes and Gr3 VRC Maribyrnong Plate. Training on with great consistency he then finished in the first four at 10 of his 17 starts all in Stakes and Group races. And at Group 1 level additional to his Oakleigh Plate second, he also finished fourth in the ATC Galaxy behind Nature Strip and Pierata, and was also fifth in both the MRC Blue Diamond Stakes and VRC Coolmore Stud Stakes.

His qualities of precociousness, toughness and temperament coupled with his impressive turn of foot are similarities we can relate to Spirit of Booms own racing career and give Encryption the exciting credentials we have sought out for a stallion to succeed alongside him at stud.

James Cummings described him after his Danehill Stakes win as "He's a really cool horse" … "he's a colt with a really good turn of foot and he's got speed, but he's got a wonderful nature that allows him to keep improving…"

Encryption will train on with James Cummings towards a Stradbroke Handicap to be his last start before he retires, after which his service fee will then be announced.
