Blue Gum Farm Announce Fees

Media Release - Thursday May 2

Blue Gum Farm have announced fees on their 2019 roster which is headed by Manhattan Rain, sire of Golden Slipper winner She Will Reign.

Manhattan Rain sired a Group 1 Golden Slipper winner in just his fourth crop. The brilliant She Will Reign was Australia’s Champion 2YO that season and trained on to beat the older sprinters in the Group 1 Moir Stakes as a 3YO. She Will Reign is Manhattan Rain’s best 2YO, but she’s not his only 2YO. And he’s not a one trick pony either!

Manhattan Rain can also sire an international Group 1 Weight For Age winner like Whisky Baron, brilliant Group winning mares like Jamaican Rain and Wild Rain, a progressive Group winning stayer like Runaway, etc., etc. Manhattan Rain has covered 192 mares in his first two seasons at stud in Victoria. He is a proven stallion at a very, very realistic fee.

Turffontein has now sired two individual million dollar earners with the wonderful sprinter miler Widgee Turf recently joining the brilliant 3YO filly Fontein Ruby as members of the millionaire’s club.

Amongst a host of other solid performers for this multiple Group 1 winning sprinter are the brilliant, dual Group winning 2YO filly Fontiton, the ultra-consistent Group winning mare Lyuba and the current Group winning sprint sensation in Singapore, Bold Thruster. Turffontein’s yearlings have sold consistently well again this season realising up to $130,000. Another proven stallion at a very realistic fee.

Glass Harmonium was a quick middle distance horse. He had the speed to place over 1400 metres in the Group 1 MRC Futurity Stakes and carried that speed to win the Group 1 VRC Mackinnon Stakes over 2000 metres.

Glass Harmonium amassed over $1.6 million in racetrack earnings. As a stallion, members of Glass Harmonium’s first commercial crop are now competing as 3YO’s and are showing the same attributes on the track that their sire did. Glass Warrior is already a Stakes winner and placed in a Derby and recent Flemington winner Nordic Symphony looks like she could well be a coming Stakes winner. From limited numbers this is an emerging stallion.
