7 Wildcard Entries for Inglis Chairman's Sale

The Inglis Chairman's Sale catalogue has been finalised, with seven quality wildcard entries joining the world-class collection of broodmares to be offered.

The dam of Santa Ana Lane will be offered at the Chairman's SaleNext Friday night's Chairman's Sale – which will see 60 select broodmares, stallion shares and breeding rights offered - headlines a big four days of breeding stock sales at Riverside, which also includes the Australian Broodmare and Weanling Sale.

Fast Fleet, the dam of champion sprinter Santa Ana Lane, and Maastricht – the dam of multiple G1-placed 2YO Loving Gaby - headline the Chairman's wildcard entries.

The other wildcards are Sensibility (G1 placed Redoute's Choice mare in foal to I Am Invincible), Acquired (dam of the Stakes-placed pair Acqume and Invictus Salute, in foal to Not A Single Doubt), Symi (sister to G1-winning 2YO Catchy), My Maggie (two-time winning daughter of I Am Invincible, in foal to Zoustar) and Luskintyre Lass (Group placed daughter of Champion sire Snitzel).

The main Chairman's catalogue of 53 is filled with star mares including the likes of G1 Thousand Guineas winner Aloisia, dual G1 winner Srikandi in foal to American Pharoah, G2-winning and G1-placed sprinter Snitty Kitty, Champion 3YO Filly of her generation Norzita in foal to Snitzel, Pasadena Girl – the only G1-winning 2YO filly by Savabeel in foal to Sebring, Now Now – the dam of G2-winning, G1 placed millionaire Fiesta in foal to Pierro and Dashoff, dam of multiple Group-winning, G1 placed race mare Spright, in foal to I Am Invincible among others.

The sale will begin with a nomination to Widden Stud's hot new first season sire, four-time G1 winner, Trapeze Artist for the 2019 Australian breeding season, with all proceeds going to injured jockey Tye Angland.

Inspections for the Chairman's Sale mares begin at Riverside from this coming Tuesday, April 30.

The Sale begins at 6.30pm next Friday evening, May 3.

The Chairman's Sale will be flanked by the Australian Broodmare and Weanling Sale at Riverside, for which 619 entries – 257 weanlings, 361 broodmares and a share in Sizzling - have been catalogued.

The sale will begin with weanlings being offered on Thursday May 2 and includes feature lots including an I Am Invincible x Srikandi filly (lot 104), a Capitalist x Now Now colt (lot 48) and the first foals by Triple Crown Champion American Pharoah to be offered in the southern hemisphere.

The weanlings include those by leading sires such as I Am Invincible, Zoustar, Fastnet Rock, Written Tycoon, Medaglia d'Oro, Lonhro, Hinchinbrook, So You Think, Pierro, Sebring, Dundeel, Nicconi, Brazen Beau, Deep Field and Better Than Ready as well as first crop offerings for the likes of Capitalist, American Pharoah, Astern, Extreme Choice, Flying Artie, Shalaa, Maurice, Star Turn, Divine Prophet, Winning Rupert, Xtravagant, Territories, Mikki Isle, Sooboog, Stratum Star and Odyssey Moon.

As part of the broodmare section of the catalogue there are mares in foal to the likes of I Am Invincible, Sebring, Lonhro, So You Think, Dundeel, Brazen Beau, Deep Field, Nicconi, Capitalist, Better Than Ready and Rubick as well as first season sires like Russian Revolution, Merchant Navy, Hellbent, Invader, Caravaggio, Churchill, Ribchester, Pariah, Impending, Highland Reel, Jukebox, Menari, Spieth, Tosen Stardom etc.

Fillies and Broodmares as part of the Australian Broodmare and Weanling Sale will be offered on Sunday and Monday, May 5 and 6.
