Melbourne Gold Inspections Begin Tomorrow

Media Release - Tuesday April 23
All is in readiness for Sunday's Melbourne Gold Yearling Sale, for which inspections begin tomorrow.

A total of 261 yearlings – 241 in the main catalogue and 20 supplementary entries – will be offered for the sale, which has produced some outstanding results in recent years including the likes of Group 1 winner Malaguerra (cost $32k, has won $1.9m), Group 1-placed I'll Have A Bit (cost $48k, won $676k), Lyuba (cost $2k, has won $445k), Sirbible (cost $3.5k, won $326k) and Desert Lashes (cost $3k, has won $370k).

Three farms – Stockwell Thoroughbreds, Stonehouse Thoroughbreds and Sunhill Bloodstock – will beopen for parades from midday tomorrow, Wednesday April 24.

The majority of drafts will be available for inspection from Thursday while all offerings will be parading by Friday morning.
