Tinsnip Wins G3 WA Sires

Tara Madgwick - Friday April 19
There's not much racing on Good Friday, but there were a couple of stakes races in Perth with the Group III WATC WA Sires Produce Stakes won by Snippetson gelding Tinsnip.

Tinsnip - Perth Racing TwitterA close second at his previous start in the Group II WATC Karrakatta Plate, the Adam Durrant trained gelding did not have to deal with his conqueror on that occasion Dig Deep, who was scratched from this race.

In his absence, Tinsnip grabbed his chance to shine and scored a short half head win in the 1400 metre feature as favourite.

Retained to race by his breeder, Tinsnip has a win and three placings from six starts with prizemoney in excess of $240,000.

A half-brother to Group III placed Mackenzie Brooke, he is the third winner from stakes-winner Mabel Grace.

Tinsnip is the 13th stakes-winner for Snippetson who started his stud career at Widden Stud, but is now based in Western Australia at Scenic Lodge Thoroughbred Stud.
