Media Release - Tuesday April 16

Denman (Lonhro – Peach (Vain)) will stand at Twin Hills Stud, Cootamundra for the 2019 season. His fee has been set at $8,800 (inc GST).

Denman is making the move from Darley to Twin Hills this springWith 79 winners already this season, Denman ranks in the top 20 stallions in Australia. His percentage of winners to runners is superior to that of fellow proven sires, Fastnet Rock, Not A Single Doubt, Nicconi and Star Witness. Denman is also in the top 20 active stallions on the Australian General Sires list.

Denman's recent Stakes winners include this season's Group winning two year old, Whiskey Neat, and the three year old Humma Humma, winner last Saturday of the Listed Redelva Stakes. His progeny also include the outstanding Hong Kong performer Hot King Prawn, the winner of 9 races and over AUD $2 million in prizemoney.

Bred by Woodlands Stud and trained by Peter Snowden, Denman was an outstanding Group 1 winning racehorse. He won nine of his twelve starts including six Stakes races between 1200m and 1400m.

Denman is by the Champion sire (and sire of sires) Lonhro, from one of Australia's very best families. He is a half brother to the dam of the 2019 Golden Slipper winner, Kiamichi. His pedigree is free of Danehill.

"We are delighted to be standing Denman and to have purchased a significant interest in him," said Oliver Tait, the owner of Twin Hills. "I love his pedigree which features the Golden Slipper winners Vain, Marscay, Dark Eclipse and of course Kiamichi.

"His progeny are fast and tough. He constantly produces winners and his statistics compare very well to some of Australia's best stallions. He is a fantastic addition to Smart Missile and Odyssey Moon."
